Makeup Colors for Winters

The striking, high-contrast beauty of a Winter shines brightest in cool, bold colors that mirror natural intensity and bring crisp clarity to any look.Eyeshadow: Cool, vivid tones such as lilac, light rose, grey, teal, navy, silver, and deep purples. Avoid warm browns, oranges, golds, or anything too warm-toned and earthy. Look for satin or icy shimmer finishes - the high contrast of Winters looks great with the crisp definition shimmer brings.

Lipstick:

Cool, clear tones of pink and red like berry, plum, watermelon, true red, raspberry, and dusty rose. These types of tones emphasize the strength and boldness of any Winter. Look for creamy or matte formulas that feel dramatic and beautiful. Check out Color Renew Lipstick in Glam or Color Renew Lipstick in Plum Sorbet.

Blush:

Cool pink and berry tones like soft rose, plum, orchid, berry, and hot pink. Avoid anything too warm-toned such as peach, terra cotta, or apricot. Look for a matte or satin finish.

Eyeliner:

Try black, navy, plum, and cool-toned blue eyeliners to enhance the natural high-contrast, dramatic coloring of Winter’s eyes. Avoid anything too warm-toned like browns and olive greens.

Additional Tips:

  • You most likely have a bold high contrast look with no gold or red highlights, with hair medium to deep in color.

  • Your best colors are typically jewel tones, true primary red, white and black.

  • Metallics like silver, white gold, and platinum make your skin glow.

Pay attention to the undertones of your makeup. Winters should generally lean towards makeup with cool undertones that make them glow and avoid makeup with warm undertones that can feel too lifeless and muted.

Don't be afraid to break the rules! These are just general guidelines, and you can always experiment with different colors to find what looks best on you.Not sure what your color season is? Take the Color Me Beautiful Color Quiz online or try out the Color Me Beautiful AI Analysis.
